Pus and poetry

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said:

"It is better for a man to fill his belly with oozing pus than to fill it with poetry."

Hadiith No. 860

Take a seat. Imagine that yellow matter which oozes out when you burst a pimple. 

Now imagine a bowel. Fill it up with this pus. 

Drink it all down until you are full. 

Or better take a spoon, and put it in your mouth. Now, munch down on it with your teeth until the inside of your mouth is coated with it. 

Then, gulp it down. 

Keep doing it until your stomach is full. 

That is better for you than you fill your head with poetry.
