Cursing Yaziid

Yaziid's army frightened the inhabitants of Madiinah. There is no dispute among the scholars regarding this fact.

It has been narrated tha the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

He who frightens the people of Mādinah wrongfully Allāh will frighten him and upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and mankind all together.

Sheikh al-albaani graded the above hadiith authentic.

Ibn al-Jawzi said:

al-QāDii Abu Ya'lā wrote a book in which he mentioned those who deserve to be cursed.

He mentioned Yazīd amongst them. Then he mentioned the following hadīth

He who frightens the people of Mādinah wrongfully Allāh will frighten him and upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and mankind all together.

There is no difference of opinion that Yazīd invaded Madinah Munawwarah with an army and frightened it's inhabitants.
