Be careful who you take your Diin from

This is how careful they were when they narrated from the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). And now you have shameless people narrating weak hadith without even telling their audience during their "dawah."

Modern sermon givers seem to enjoy arousing the emotions of their audience more than anything else. Some do it even at the expense of narrating weak and at times fabricated hadith.

Disgusting individuals. May Allah guide them or break their backs.

`Abd Allah bin al-Zubair said on the authority of the father:

I asked al-Zubair : What prevents you from narrating traditions from the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) as his Companions narrate from him? He said: By Allah I was very close to him. But I heard him (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) say: He who lies about me deliberately will certainly come to his abode in Hell.

[Sunan Abi Dawud]

It is also worthy to note at this point that of all the schools of thought the Hanafi school uses the most weak hadith to support their Fiqh stances. The Shaafi'i school, on the other hand, uses mostly only authentic hadith. Very rarely will you find them rely on a weak hadith.

Imaam al-Shaafi'i was a scholar of hadith as agreed upon by the scholars of hadith.
