Are you a munaafiQ?

Give to the munaafiQiin the tidings that there is for them a painful torment.

[Qur'aan 4:138]

The munaafiQuun will suffer a painful torment. 

Are you from among the munaafiQuun? Have you ever looked at what you do and asked yourself the question that you might be from among them?

Or maybe you have a trait they have. A very dirty trait. 

Do you know what that trait is? Read the next Verse:

Those who take disbelievers for Auliya' (protectors or helpers or friends) instead of believers, do they seek honour, power and glory with them? Verily, then to Allah belongs all honour, power and glory.

[Qur'aan 4:139]

Do you do that? Do you take the disbelievers as your friends? Do you feel like you are with them and love them as opposed to your Muslim brothers? Do you think by catering to their sickness you will get respect in this world?

Is that why you will sell your believing brother for a disbeliever? So, you can earn respect among the people of this world? Maybe you want power. You want to be in those high positions. Yeah, maybe that is why you follow them around like a little puppy. You are so loyal to them. Your Muslim brothers mean nothing to you. You want the power, respect, and glory. 

If you do, then you know the glad tiding Allaah has given you.

You will suffer a painful torment.
